Fanø International Knitting Festival is very proud to host the worldwide launch of this amazing project and knitting book.

A dream to create a global knitting book to raise awareness for some of the world's endangered species has come through. The book takes flight from the magic place created when a child and an animal first meet.

The story is told through strong designs and based on scientific facts. The team behind this great project choose endangered animal from every corner of the world and tell their story. An international group of designers have created designs inspired by each endangered animal chosen.

Each animal design is created for the young child and for teenagers. These designs will hopefully open people's hearts and minds to understand the plight of these endangered species and what we can do to help, and also make this book a tool for cross generational learning.

Do not miss the FASHION SHOW Friday night with all the designs from the book. This fashion show follows the lecture with Danish speaking Christine Feldthaus (lecture in Danish). After the R:E:D fashion we show another great fashion show with Norwegian Designer SIDSEL HØIVIK.

Book signing of the authors Friday 2:30 - 3:00 PM at Fanø Hallen, Nordby.

Also note, that there are 3 lectures by the authors, Lisa Renner, Dorte Rørmann and Polly Cevallos.

The weather here on the island today is what I like to refer to as "real island-weather": quite windy with floating clouds on a blue sky. The light flashes beautifully over the ground, and it is just so beautiful.

Enjoy your weekend, where ever this newsletter finds you in the world.

Best wishes

Christel and Jørgen Seyfarth
