WORKSHOPS IN ALL LANGUAGES

A majority of our workshops are conducted in Danish with Danish instructors. However, we have lots of exciting instructors coming to the island from abroad, and we also offer workshops in English and German. So there will definitely be a workshop for you too.
You are of course most welcome to join a workshop in Danish, as long as you have the patience to wait for the teacher to come around to translate.

We also offer a very exciting lecture on the Dutch Ganseys, presented by authour Stella Ruhe. The lecture is in English.

In our very big BAZARteng in Nordby you will find 100 exciting stands from Scandinavia and abroad - we promise you that you will not know where to start or where to end. There will be so much to see and excite.

In Sønderho you will find stands and a very beautiful exhibition and lots of folklore. It is a must to see both towns. We offer a free shuttlebus to both towns.

world class evening events

This is a sailor's island, and here the music has been brought back to us from far away places. The Fanø Knitting festival reflects the exciting cultural heritage of the island, and we are proud to introduce world class entertainment, such as Faroese singer EIVØR and Scottish fiddler BRUCE MACGREGOR and his band. But this is not all, you can amuse yourself with fashion shows, live music, terrific food, art and folklore as well.

HOW TO GET TO THE ISLAND

Fanø is situated 12 minues ferry ride from Esbjerg on the westcoast of Denmark. It is convenient to bring your own car if you decide to rent a summerhouse while visiting us. If you are only visiting us for one day, you need not to bring a car, but instead walk and get on the shuttlebus when needed. But we warn you - you will not think one day is enough to see everything.

Fanø International Knitting festival is a very unique festival and known far beyond the borders of Denmark. Come and join us and meet knitters from all over the world in this exciting and picturesque atmosphere of the westernmost island of Denmark.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to write us or give us a call.

See you in September.

Christel and Jørgen Seyfarth
